We're Celebrating Fifty Years of Eye Care!

We pledge to carry on delivering personalised care to you.

Our business was founded in 1964 when Rodney Davis, who had moved here from Bristol the year before, bought out a practice in Thrapston. Rod then opened branches in Kettering in 1973, and Rothwell in the early 1980s. We have since expanded outside the county, venturing into Olney 11 years ago, and then moving into Market Harborough in 2011.

Rod, a qualified Optometrist who is now 86 years old, said: Our success has been based on offering personalised eye care with value and style - and that's what we're continuing to do."

"Over the years I've seen the technology improve but there's always been one clear message - respect your eyes. You can go and buy a pair of reading specs but there's no way you can tell if there is an underlying problem. With some conditions it can be too late if symptoms are not spotted early."

Rod's son Jeremy joined the firm in 1974, followed by daughter Kim in 1977, while Rod's wife Dot has also contributed by working as a receptionist in Thrapston. Kim and Jeremy continue to run the the practice today alongside family friend Nick Carson.

Kim said: "We have worked together all these years and have always got on really well. When I was living at home we used to talk optics all day."
